NESTRIX DOUBLE It is the most spacious horizontal nest module in the basic range, designed for medium-sized colonies that need more space without complicating the setup. It occupies the equivalent of two standard-width modules, offering a generous area with a top-reservoir hydration system designed to create a natural moisture gradient.
Key features:
- Horizontal double size: 13 × 6.5 × 3 cm – twice the width of a standard module, perfect for providing extra space for the colony.
- 6 ml top-mounted moisture reservoir: Top-reservoir hydration system that maintains a moist area (ideal for breeding and egg storage) and a dry area. in the same nest. It creates a natural gradient that ants love.
- Indirect hydration: Ants can drink from the moistened area inside the nest (the plaster base retains moisture in an accessible way), although there is no direct access via a mesh screen.. It is recommended to add an external waterer or connect to a HYDRA module for constant access to potable water.
- Plaster and sand base: Ultra-natural setting.
- Secure and stable connection system: Includes exclusive 3D-printed parts:

How is the vial inserted?
Simply fill the vial with water, insert the rolled-up moisture strip into the vial as shown in the image (with half the strip inside the vial and half outside), and screw it onto the ant farm.
