Natur-Magnet Heated Kit (complete set)

Description

A modular, heated concrete and sand ant farm that provides a natural, moisture-retaining environment for the ants. Each module connects to others via magnetic attachments. Connections can be made at the top or on the sides, allowing for an unlimited variety of configurations.

Instructions for using the heating system:

The temperature marked in red is the temperature of the anthill.

The temperature marked in blue is the desired temperature for the ant farm.

The heating system will operate until the temperature of the ant nest equals the desired temperature.

To set the target temperature, press the “set” button. The target temperature will begin to flash. You can increase the temperature by pressing the “set” button. To lower the temperature, press the ºC/ºF button. Once the desired temperature is set, wait a few seconds until it stops flashing.

Note: The measured temperature may vary by ±1°C.

Important:

If the ant farm is used with heating and humidity, some condensation may form. Provided the ant farm is used correctly, this condensation should not pose a problem for the ants or hinder visibility into the interior, as it arises from the temperature difference between the water in the reservoir and the outside environment. Here are the key points to consider for the proper use of the ant farm:

– Upon first use, do not fill the water reservoir until the ant farm has reached the desired temperature.

– Once the ant farm is at the desired temperature, fill the reservoir with warm water.

– Do not wet the walls or the material of the ant farm.

The kit includes:

– 1 Heated nest module: a 15x10x7 cm ant farm made of concrete and sand. It features a gallery divider, four 12 mm external connection ports (one at the top, one at the bottom, and one on each side), and four 12 mm plugs. It is equipped with a heating system that allows the ant farm to be heated to a pre-set temperature.

– 1 Foraging box module: 15x10x7 cm box with a concrete and sand base. Features a double lid, three 12 mm external connection ports, and two 12 mm plugs.

– 1 Red filter
