NESTRIX FOUNDATION It is the ideal starter kit for those new to the world of ants or looking to establish a new colony under optimal conditions from day one. Compact, comprehensive, and professional, it includes everything needed to set up a safe, natural, modular formicarium—ready for a queen and her first workers.

What does the NESTRIX FOUNDATION Pack include?

  • 1 × NESTRIX HYDRA (nest module 6.5 × 6.5 × 3 cm)

The premium module features a 6 ml top reservoir, a safe watering point with a metal mesh, and an intelligent humidity gradient (moist zone + dry zone). It offers direct access to water and creates a perfect microclimate for the colony foundation.

  • 1 × NESTRIX ARENA MINI (foraging box 6.5 × 6.5 × 6.5 cm)

Compact foraging area with a plaster and sand base. A dedicated space for ants to explore, forage, and naturally deposit waste.

  • 1 × NESTRIX Connection piece

Connection piece for joining HYDRA and ARENA MINI with a 10 mm fluid tunnel.

  • 1 × NESTRIX Safety component

A safety/fastening component that locks the connection, turning the assembly into a rigid structure. You can move or transport the entire setup without risk.

  • 2 × NESTRIX opening piece + 2 × NESTRIX closing piece

Parts for opening or closing the connection between the modules.

  • 6 × Additional plugs

Extra plugs to seal all unused ports on both modules right from the initial assembly. Maximum safety and zero leaks.

  • Red filter

Why is it ideal for the founding stage and small colonies?

    • Perfect size: a compact, manageable setup for claustral/semi-claustral queens and incipient colonies.

    • Ultra-natural environment: plaster and sand base in both modules; no digging possible, in order to maintain the structure’s pristine condition.

    • Advanced hydration from day one: direct drinking source and a hassle-free moisture gradient.

    • Assembles in minutes and is infinitely expandable: as the colony grows, simply add more modules (TOWER, DOUBLE, SETA…) using the available ports.

With NESTRIX FOUNDATION Your new colony starts off with a professional, secure habitat that is ready to grow. All the essentials are included—no unnecessary extras.

Your first cologne deserves the best. Fundación is the start of something epic.

Build your ant empire from scratch and watch it thrive!

      How is the vial inserted?

Simply fill the vial with water, insert the rolled-up moisture strip into the vial as shown in the image (with half the strip inside the vial and half outside), and screw it onto the ant farm.
